Fourth day without power.. bought a generator on Amazon, set it up today and have just charged my phone and laptop, and got a fan heater going..so straight to BlueMoon..Fuck me it has been hard with no electricity for four days..Was able to get the Mrs. and son into a hotel courtesy of poweruk as son has cardiac issues..thank you poweruk..the hardest thing has been they keep saying the power will be on by 12.00, 16.00,23.30 every day and nothing happens.. very hard to plan when you believe what they say..if you had accurate information you could plan accordingly.. well I am a bit of a prepper..caught a rabbit last night with my air rifle..lit a fire on an old grate, stuffed it with garlic wrapped in tinfoil..delicious.Ducks and Geese on the lake in the garden, next lamping experience.
Gutted about Spurs, totally gutted..not had time yet to read the general thoughts.
Anyone else affected by power cuts ?? Or is just us soft southerners (Mayfield, East Sussex) ??

I isolated six electrical circuits in my house and added another panel on the side of the house. Freezers, lights, microwave and hot water. If the power goes down I can run the house off a generator and not have to deal with power cords… highly recommend everyone do this

Power literally just came back..with the new generator it did cross my mind to do something like this..it seems very difficult as not an electrician, can dabble..do you do that from the fuse box or some other method ??
I am convinced this type of scenario will become more common..people laugh at me prepping but when the poo hits the fan it is the one's who are prepared..I guess the worry in the US is everyone has a gun ?? I have an air rifle which would not kill someone..I have seen your wonderful pics..you will surely have all the right clothes and equipment for a fall out !!!

Supermarkets were still open. You could have sourced food without having to hunt!
