Power cuts

I did kill a raccoon one time with an ice axe, that was fairly satisfying too. One too many of my chickens!

More fun with a good ‘Daluge’ 24 oz framing hammer
Ponce.

Obviously be better made if they were made in Canada, but for now.......

My in-laws live on the Hampshire/Surrey border and their whole village has been without power for days now.

Apart from the local pub curiously, which has turned itself into a ’community centre’.

Clever landlord that.

Supermarkets were still open. You could have sourced food without having to hunt!
Totally..and have done that..but when they go down what will you do ?? Society is based on a weak premis that all will be as normal..at some point it may not be so..people who prepare for the worst case scenario will survive..Surely the Covid issue has made people think beyond supermarkets and how they will survive without power and learn how to fend for themselves ?? Maybe not in our lifetime, but it will happen.Recent fuel issues, power outages etc..

From my experience of living in a vicarage, people will go to their local priest for food before shooting rabbits.

If all supermarkets and shops are shut for ever, then the likelihood is that most of us aren’t going to survive. Not even you, when someone comes round to pinch your food.

I used to laugh at those prepper programmes that you would watch on some obscure TV channel late at night when you couldn't sleep. Covid and witnessing people's selfishness made me think it would be worth being a little prepared.

I don’t think I’d want to live in a world without McDonald’s or Greggs tbf.
