Is it a waste of money for kids, 6 and 5. Can one wear the home shirt in etc? Or would we be better off in the family stand? Thanks

Depends on what you want !

If you want to enjoy a proper match day experience without the home comforts, then grab a burger, enjoy the pre match entertainment in city square and then sit in the stands with us plebs. You'll be able to wear what you want etc etc. as long as you join in the singing, don't take pictures or leave early.

If you want to enjoy some home comforts then go for hospitality. The different types on offer will have different dress codes (not as strict with kids). It is a football match and not a creche, so no pre match entertainment for kids so something more informal like Legends or Commonwealth would suit kids better. I've enjoyed different days at City and recently took my kids (6 and 9) in the legends lounge and we had a great day.

Contact the club and discuss what your budget is and what your looking for and i'm sure they'll fix you up.

Cheers for that, I'm thinking burger and city square would probably be the most enjoyable, it's their first visit

I recently took my niece and nephew 4 and 7, neither had ever been to a game before. Did the City Square food then they had face painting in the family stand (even the boy!!). They absolutely loved it. Although, by the end of the game they were getting a little fidgety as it was a long and tiring day as well as exciting. I will take them again next season, but it was a special treat for them so that their Mum and Dad could go away for a weekend. So we all had a good time, oh and as usual City won. !!

Any one done hospitality at city? What would you recommend as the best option? Not looking for something overly formal just looking for a step up from the general match day routine. Also does anyone know if you can upgrade your season ticket as a one off for a ticket in the hospitality areas?

I remeber my first game. And I will never forget walking out of the concourse onto the stands and I was amazed by how big it was. I have also been to legends club and I dont think it was as close to the real football experiance even though I did love it and think it was brilliant

for the cost, i wouldn't take children into hospitality, definitely not for a first match when they'll be more interested in the crowds and the singing.
the menus aren't overly child friendly although there is less queuing etc.
burger in city square, photo op with moonchester and moonbeam, something from the shop.
unless you are loaded in which case my junior blue and i would be happy to join you in a box!
