Depends on what you want !

If you want to enjoy a proper match day experience without the home comforts, then grab a burger, enjoy the pre match entertainment in city square and then sit in the stands with us plebs. You'll be able to wear what you want etc etc. as long as you join in the singing, don't take pictures or leave early.

If you want to enjoy some home comforts then go for hospitality. The different types on offer will have different dress codes (not as strict with kids). It is a football match and not a creche, so no pre match entertainment for kids so something more informal like Legends or Commonwealth would suit kids better. I've enjoyed different days at City and recently took my kids (6 and 9) in the legends lounge and we had a great day.

Contact the club and discuss what your budget is and what your looking for and i'm sure they'll fix you up.
is that bit mandatory or advisory?

Depends on how thick skinned you are and are not overly bothered by being called a ****. ;)

The joining in singing and not leaving early are mandatory but the taking photos is ok as long as it is photos and not a match length video of everyone else singing!!! ;-)

Didn't get chance to post a reply, but oakie has explained it better than i could !

Take them to the Kippax. Go to the open corner next to the Platt Lane and lift them onto the top of the white tunnel. Make them sit there throughout the match and make sure they don't try to get down during half time. If they behave let them have the odd old English spangle. Try and pick a match where City lose and if it is raining even better. On the way back to the bikes at the end of the match- if we have lost tell them it will be like this for at least 20 years. If we have won make sure they understand that euphoria will be short lived and that we will undoubtedly lose the next match against much lower opposition. Finally tell them that in five years time they can move into the front of the Kippax itself. That in further lots of 5 they can then move to the middle and back of the Kippax. When they reach the latter stage they will be allowed to queue for their own pie and programme prior to climbing up the external and lethal metal steps. On the way home ensure that they understand that they have just visited their one and only club and that all "Choice" in this area has been fully used up. That they are a City fan for life.

Hope this advice helps as it will prepare them for life as a City fan as well as for life in general. Mind you I do think you have left it rather late to induct the older one!

I can recall going down both the Kippax and old Platt Lane stairs. I just can't remember taking any steps - just carried along! great days indeed.
