I am going to try and get a ticket tomorrow but as there’s only 591 with supporters club’s etc allocation to come out from this I don’t hold much hope

Just seen this, confident anyone will get one. City obviously think so as have not put points criteria in.

From this allocation, the following groups will receive tickets for this match: Season Ticket Members, Seasonal Hospitality Members, Owner, Board of Directors, Football Management, Players, Club Officials and Staff, Former Players, Club Partners and the Man City Supporters Club.

Already decided not to bother cos of the logistics but £35 a ticket, for a friendly, against a member of the city family!
Tenner max and no discount even for kids. Are they(we) that effin desperate.
Sure i paid less than that for 2 of the champs league games last season.

Probably set with the home fans in mind.
 
This has fallen perfectly for me, work wise. Wouldn’t mind a short 2/3 day trip. Not going to blow a fortune on it though. Anyone seen any reasonably priced flights? I’ve had a quick glance and not seen anything particularly appealing.

I'm on Lufthansa from Manc, out 7th, back 10th, short change over in Germany.

I paid £328 last week but it went as high as £400 before it came down again and I booked.

Looks high atm, maybe keep an eye on it too see if it comes down again, depends on demand I think.

We seem to be in B18, just bought mine there.

At 10.40am there were 140 available but B18 section looks like it only holds 400 and a lot were greyed out at 10am when I went on so no idea where the other 190 odd are.

Can only think they have not put us in the away section as its a better view etc, some away sectors in Europe are awful. Who knows.

I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer but I thought Palermo was a bit of a shit hole. It was dirty, unfriendly, fuck all to see and do (apart from the opera house) and felt a bit edgy off the main streets. We booked to stay for 3 nights and sacked it off and moved on to Marsala a day early.

There’s a little town on the coast not far from Palermo called Scopello and it’s one the most beautiful places I’ve been to. It’s like heaven on earth. Sitting out in the main square with a bottle of ice cold white wine on a Saturday evening and it was like being in a mafia film. Everyone beautifully dressed kids playing out, live music played outside and views of a glorious coast. Well worth a visit.

Agree about Palermo being edgy and grubby. Also about Scopello being gorgeous. But during daylight there is plenty to see in Palermo. The cathedral and Palazzo dei Normanni are both superb. And a bus takes you to Monreale which has one of the finest cathedrals in the world and arguably the world's best cloister. A short train along the north coast takes you to Cefalu which is a great spot.
