Oh I see. A trip to America will only be to promote the club in a place where football is growing. I understand why some people will not like the pre-season not being in the UK but every club does the same.

Not saying have it in the UK but how long will it be rigidly the US or China, america has been well used to football and european teams for quite a while now, time to tap into trips to new more interestimg places, not just by us but the rest of the top clubs.

Lets see a tournament in other emerging football markets like say India or Africa.

I wpupdn't mind the premier league cup being played in south america a few weeks in argentina and chille would be nice

Next season starts a week earlier due to the World Cup winter schedules, I always feel we start the seasons with Pep undercooked, due to our players reporting for training later than other clubs, especially if we go deep into the Chumps etc.

If you mean me, I ain't moaning about the club, they are tied to doing pre seasons where all other elite clubs are going, it is a necessary endevour.

I am saying all the clubs are predictable with the destinations, as I said would be great to see bayern, juve, us and someone else in a mini pre season tournament, but why not Africa or south america for a change.


At least the club america game could have been at the Azteca

It's an interesting idea, but the club is trying to grow in areas with high capital spending.

Increase foreign TV deals and merchandise sales.

From my research:

African PL TV deal - £168 Million
USA PL TV deal - £2 Billion

Clubs work together to increase their collective revenues, ie playing Liverpool, Bayern, and United in pre-season friendlies.
