I went to school in Timperley with a mixture of Alty, Timperley and Wythenshawe lads. In my teens I spent a lot of time with lads from Northenden. My group of mates now and lot of my family now are a mixture of Alty, Timperley, Sale and Wythenshawe. I’ve lived in Alty for a few years where I was renting and I now live in Wythenshawe where I own a flat. When I was going through the process of buying I was looking at the crime figures, and there was more incidents of crime within a mile of my old flat in Alty than there is where I now live in Baguley.

For me these areas are like a mini conurbation within the overall larger conurbation of this city (see image below, we could be our own town). Just that some parts of it have more expensive houses than others. But the people from Oldfield Brow, Broadheath, Bowdon Vale, the Grange, the Broomwood, the Racecourse, Sale Moor and other parts of Timperley and Sale all live in a similar area to Wythenshawe; just that Wythy is a much larger version of them all.

Spot on, it is just a question of scale. I do know lots of decent people from Alty, Timperley and surrounds who are not up themselves, think I’ve probably just been unlucky with Sale though :-)

but where did you see this? When you say he’s quite open about being a rag - I’ve never seen it so where have you seen it?

You’ll find I’ve been nothing but positive about it.

I started the thread because I thought the interview was brilliant and I’d seen “Prem Soon Come” had taken on a life of its own on social media.

Including by Cole himself, who’s been having a laugh about it on his social media channels.

Just do a bit of reading first before throwing out lazy bullshit.
 
Sorry not sure I’m getting this thread! I think the OP was pointing out how Palmer handled his first interview with a sly scouser really well. The fact he did it in a manc accent after a top quality performance added to a great night . Well done Cole looking forward to many more MOM interviews.

There are some strange comments on this thread. To me the OP was just having a laugh like you do down the pub. Only one poster has attacked him. No one else has said anything derogatory about Palmer or his accent. It's light hearted with nothing badly meant. Or meant badly !!!!
