I don't see myself showing bias, but Ake and Akanji have had a better season than Van Diik, and they've played multiple positions to great effect.

Rodri being overlooked is essentially - "fuck of City, we need to squeeze some **** in that wears red."

Rodri isnt there for the same reason that merlin was never there, they are quite simply too good , their worst game is still better than 90% of players best games and as such their greatness has become expected and as such sadly overlooked , it is a sad indictment of modern society that fleeting, surprising quality will be looked upon more fondly than consistent brilliance.
