Premier League Games 1/2/3 Jan 2022

What a match! What a great result for City too. Was very impressed with both teams and that game plus the Spurs v Liverpool game demolishes the lie that PL quality is poor.
Mane' s challenge was red all day long

or a drug test hahahahha

didn't mahraz take a banned substance for sinus problems at the last ACON from doctors in Algerian FA
Not quite. He was prescribed a medicine by Algeria for his sinus but the club couldn't get the name of it for some reason, so he was left out to play it safe as they didn't know what he was given.

I think Azpilecueta made no attempt to jump for the ball, wasn’t looking at the ball, was looking at the man and decided not to jump to stop Mane from reaching the header.

Mane had his eyes on the ball at every point in the incident, didn’t even side eye to see where Azpilecueta was. Mane jumped up and sideways to body check Azpilecueta in mid air, but because Azpilecueta didn’t jump there was contact with the head with the palm of his hand.

Mane then immediately pulled his arm away when he felt the contact.

Yellow card all day. Reckless, never dangerous play.
Utter bollocks.

Despite what sky tell us it's not the perfect result a Chelsea win was the perfect result. It is however still a positive result for us and a great weekend.

Chelsea lost all momentum when Tuchel made the subs, such weird subs to make, I don't get what he was trying with those, at least had the ability to see his error and rectify it before it cost him.

Does somebody want to tell me what Mason Mount does?
Mason!,,,its a secrets

Still seething about the Mane challenge. Red all day long whether it's the 1st or the 90th.

No doubt a decision of the VAR match commander to ignore it because it would spoil the 'product'.

Same reason Milner wasn't sent off against us. Funny how that has benefitted the Dipper's. It's almost like they know they can get away with shithouse challenges early in the match.
Same thing happened a couple of seasons ago against Arsenal. The same player, in the beginning of the game, elbow to the face of the Arsenal player. Again, play on.

The Mane potential red doesn't look too bad in slow motion. It took me until half time to see it in real time, and it was an obvious red for me. He's got previous for going into challenges recklessly, out of control and with his arms raised into an opponent's face.

Let's be honest, the only reason he wasn't sent off was because it was the start of the match. If he'd done that 30 minutes in, he would have been off.
If I remember correctly he got away with the same thing a couple of years ago against Arsenal.

:)

I honestly think it’s just a yellow. No different to what Adama Traore was doing at our place a few weeks back, when every ball in the air between him and Laporte saw Traore jump into Laporte while they were both in the air. But with this Azpilecueta just didn’t jump.

Like Tuchel has just mistakenly said “it’s a clear below in the face”… nobody is looking at it properly. Mane’s elbow didn’t touch Azpilecueta, there was a bit of a touch in the face with an open relaxed hand.

I honestly don’t think it was that bad at all.
A definite red.

That was an intentional arm to the face that endangered a players welfare,he knew exactly what he was doing.....it should not matter that it wasn't his elbow that made contact.

Mane is a sly ****,he has plenty of form.

Absolutely spot on!!

Exactly how I got one of my front teeth split in two playing for Leeds Youth Team against Wigan, and exactly how I leveled a defender who had literally been kicking me all over the field, often with no ball around, during my first season in the States.

I remember both distinctly because they were so violent and yet neither of them ended up in a red card because it happens so quickly the ref often misses it. With VAR and super slo-mo replays, it is a disgrace!

We give all this bollocks lip service to “head injuries,” yet let shit like this go, essentially unpunished!

A red for Mané would definitely have changed the game, but that’s Mané’s problem! He definitely wouldn’t have scored, I know that!!!
