why is it nonsense?And has been pointed out several times to you, this defensive weakness in the way Pep plays resulted in the best defensive record last season, and this is just the fourth round of fixtures. So how about stop repeating the same nonsense.
the. you watch us play, the amount of chances we give up to other teams are very few and far apart due to our possession of the ball. The quality of the chances we give other teams when we do is high due to the way we play. If you want to have a reasoned argument about this then fine but its not as simple as looking at goals scored against us etc.....its the types of chances....in a large amount of games it won't affect us cause the quality of the opposition isn't good enough or they don't give it a go.
We have just seen it in the liverpool game. Leicester score off a goal keeping error. Just like Ederson, there won't be many of those with this keeper but there maybe the odd one here and there cause of the way he was trying to play (with pep he insists on it - im not sure Klopp will). However Liverpool defended in numbers which allowed Leicester more possession in the second half. The quality of the chances Leicester had wasn't high (in terms of chance of scoring)..... We rarely if ever defend like that (im not saying I disagree with that or think we should change - infant I don't want us to as the way we play is clearly the most attractive way in the league) But, all I've stated is that Liverpool are a more balanced team, less attacking but defensively more solid in terms of the quality of chances they give away....it wasn't long ago Pep was saying (and lots on here) that all teams needed was one chance and it was a goal against us...Now that sorted itself out last year due to the team having more control/better possession of the ball, plus fullbacks who could defend (We look better defensively when Mendy isn't in the team as as Pep has said numerous teams Delph (and Zincheko) cannot do what Mendy does. However this made us defensively better as Delphi held his position more, tucked in an helped in midfield and retained possession better than Mendy does. Last week against Wolves they created more chances against us than anyone has done for a while (Yes their goal should have been disallowed but they created other chances and situations in more advanced positions than a lot of teams did last year) - will ll teams do that - no....I don't think Newcastle will even try that this afternoon for instance...but it is where our vulnerability lies...No system is perfect and this is the vulnerability in ours. Defenders (in Pep's words) have to be perfect in one vs one situations and sometimes that goes in favour the attacker (and Im not just talking about 1 vs 1 break aways...it might be a 3 vs 3 situation)

fortunately they are few and far between - liverpool will again exploit this and some European teams will.....more may try it this season...wolves did...I don't think Newcastle will

They don't need Salah in that side to win the vast majority of games they will win this season.
Of course they will play him unless his form tapers right off but they don't need him as much as they did last year and last season they underachieved.

You have worked that out after just 4 games ? We will see as the season goes on, how important Salah is to them.
Your opening statement is pointless and cannot be proved, as he will play the VAST majority of their games, unless injured.
