Not to mention more strength in depth. I agree. This lot are the team we have to keep an eye on. Especially given our recent record against them.same intensity but more measured as well....better passing out from the back...Keita is a huge improvement...moves the ball well between the lines. Solid at the back (though very little pressure from west ham - due to Liverpool keeping possession pretty well.....
Last season was all about their energy..this game has looked like that is still there but will a measure of better football as well

Imo they would be 7 goals up at half time in this game last season. This opposition is the worst they have faced for years. Even worse than us.
I have no idea where their level will be but I can't sed one ounce of improvement on this showing. Have to wait & see them over time in proper games.
Compared to last season's 4-1....What have they done better today then ?
You could argue its west ham that havrnt changed or improved enough vs last season rather than Liverpool being better

That was a foul on Antonio on the edge of the box for me but the ref is happy to play on, unsurprisingly.

Yes I think they do look better.....last season was all about their energy, they struggled to break down teams who sat in against them (like Utd did - but unlike us).....West Ham have had 5 across midfield at times and Liverpool have found ways through or around (like we had to do a lot last season)
they also still have Fabinho and Henderson missing as well so they have strength in depth.......an injury to Mane or Salah and they may struggle a little in the forward area. Shaquiri can be a bit hit and miss
