Premier League Games 10/11/12 December

We have VAR which can rule out goals because a big toe nail was offside, can work out precisely the force required to put Raheem Sterling down and compute the force actually used so that "there wasn't enough but can't see that Salah instituted the contact with a Villa defender and now can't see a blatant dive by a fox who couldn't initiate the contact.

Empty seats at Burnley all this Covid scaremongering is making people wary of being in large crowds. We have that problem at the Etihad along with people who have deferred season tickets and may never come back.

Sat here just pondering the ramifications of var on footy in general. Players are now 'chancing their arm' by throwing themselves around, and not only in the penalty area. They have nothing to loose in their efforts to get a penalty or opposition players booked or sent off. In the box they get two chances to cheat, con the ref or con var. Maddison should be sent off for that dive, or at least a yellow, but because there seems to be little or no chance of that happening players will continue to take a chance.

Clubs should come out next season and slash all season tickets by £100 across the board at every club in the country. Also cap all individual match tickets at £30 unless it’s corporate.

That’ll get a few coming back

Maddison is one horrible cheating little git who has plenty of previous

My Mum’s side of the family are from Geordieland. I had a cousin who unfortunately passed away who was a mad Newcastle fan. That said I can’t stand their fans. Misplaced arrogance singing about how poor opposition fans are when they were down to less than 20k in the 80’s. They’ll also claim Manchester etc isn’t really the North, it’s the Midlands. Part of me wants to see them do well to hack off the establishment. Part of me thinks their fans would be unbearable.

They're unbearable after decades of no success, imagine if they won a trophy.
