Really annoys me when a player goes down injured or feigning injury the onus is on the attacking side to kick the ball out of play , isnt it only supposed to be if its a serious or head injury ?

Players are under no obligation to ever stop play during a game, for any reason.

It is entirely the referee’s responsibility to stop play based on the laws of the game, including for injury (involving a player’s head or otherwise).

Teams just do it as the crowd often get on them and there is an element of reciprocity theory (i.e. they want the other team to kick the ball out when they have one of theirs down “injured”).
