Premier League Games 11/12/13/14 August 2023

Statement win from newcastle against a heavily tipped villa. Their signings might not be the marquee ones some were expecting but they improve them in key areas substantially. Solid defensive setup second only to us last year, and with the exception of ours again, their midfield can go toe-to-toe with anybody, They've got pace on the wings and two quality finishers. Not sure if ffp will let them spend anymore but a couple more signings would put them right up in the mix behind us imo. Lot of people are dismissing them this season, and maybe champions lesgue catches up with their small squad but I wouldn't be so quick to do so. We will be in for a very tough game next week off the back of Seville game.

Digne just showed an imaginary yellow to the ref after being booked earlier for doing the same.
