Yep players can stagger their run up but the goalie can’t be an inch off his line.Shit rule imo
As someone has already said; if the keeper can't mentally stop himself from stepping forward, stand a yard behind the line.Yep players can stagger their run up but the goalie can’t be an inch off his line.

I get that, if he was a foot off his line then fair enough, crap rule all the same.As someone has already said; if the keeper can't mentally stop himself from stepping forward, stand a yard behind the line.
Not the millimetres he was off the line, no. But I guess it'd be mayhem if you said keepers are allowed up to, say, 75mm off their line. How would you measure the distance? Is the technology there to measure distance from the VAR freeze frame? Also, you'd be saying that 75mm is fine, but 76mm isn't. If you have to have the rule, I guess the way it is now is probably the best of a bad lot. If you're off the line, irrespective of how much it's a retake if you save the penalty.See where you're coming from but I don't believe the keeper gains an advantage by being slightly off his line like Fabianski was then.
