I got the feeling he gave the red card for the injury rather than the tackle, when you play football getting injured is a risk you take. Removing the tackle removes something good out of the game.It reminded me of Son's red card against Everton, after Gomes' broken leg. The FA rescinded it in the day after. I feel a bit for the ref because he was in a no win situation. He must have felt he had no choice but to send him off because of the severity of the injury.
