Shows just how shit the bottom half teams are.

All the talk about the PL is the best league in the world but only the top 5-6 teams are any good, only us and maybe liverpool have been exceptional the past 5 seasons.

I don’t think that’s accurate at all.

How close it is down the bottom shows how close they are in quality, not how shit they all are. There are teams down there who’ve signed players who were in the CL last season (and it happens regularly) playing for top clubs in other leagues. In the Prem these players just blend in with the rest of the league.

Players like that Sebastian Haller did nothing at West Ham in the Prem but goes to other leagues and looks a decent player because of how much the quality of those leagues is so much lower than the Prem, and you can say that about dozens of players.

Pep was saying just last night how and why the Prem is the best league in the world. He’s stayed here this long and will sign another contract extension after this once because this is the best league in the world.

Only the top 5 or 6 teams being any good has been the case pretty much since the PL started.

You could take the bottom ten teams out of the PL and they'd struggle in all of the top European leagues and probably in the Championship.

That's why a European Super League is almost inevitable.

Acting like scoring goals is the only thing that matters. His all round game has been poor and there is no need to be defensive about that.
