Premier League Games 11/12/15 March '23

It's in the rules re extended "disagreements". Other posters tend not to like them, and they can derail threads. That's why we try to stop them before they get silly. Disagree with someone, by all means. But then move on. That applies to all parties involved.
No problem

Depends on the context.

Exactly. I don't for one minute think that @paulchapo was saying that Arsenal are as good, or nearly as good, as past City Champions.

There are definite similarities in their play that bring Pep City teams to mind. Arteta being the obvious link / inspiration.

Can they match or surpass our resilience?
Did we put the title in their hands by way of poor performances?

We'll find out soon enough, but in the meantime, it's safe to say that they are currently doing a very passable impression of a potential title winning side.

Yes they are very refreshing and quite exciting to watch this season. I told a fair few gooners to give Arteta time when they wanted him out, you could see he was building something decent after years of stagnation.

This season they've shown a fighting spirit not shown by an Arsenal side since the Adams/Viera teams. They've come from behind to win games, some last minute, even against the rags and dippers. Our win could have derailed them but it hasn't.

Obviously I hope we pip them to the post but if they win it they will be worthy winners for sure.

As my best mate is a Wolves fan I go to quite a few games a season.

We went to Newcastle yesterday and the Referee was dog shit/corrupt. Not sure which.

How wasn't it a penalty?
I haven't seen or read anything about the game, who do you believe the ref favoured? Or was it yet another case of general mind-boggling ineptitude from the officials?

Well it's the same Ref that didn't give the goal for Wolves to knock liverpool out of the FA cup.

And today he ignored a blatant foul by Nick Pope and should have sent him off... Well from where we were and from what i've read anyway. Watching live it was a clear pen

Wolves have even had a meeting with the Referee in charge over the liverpool incident

Since then we had the ridiculous lemina sending off at saints for being the third player to run towards the ref imagine if that rule was applied to arsenal or Man Utd the amount of players that surround the ref every game.
The non penalty at forest when nunes boot was ripped in the ‘non contact’
And then yesterdays debacle with the same ref that ruled out a perfectly good goal at anfield

Forgot about Forest. I was there too.

Exactly this. Pope has wiped him out. Intentionally or not it’s a foul. Anywhere else and it’s a free kick.
Ref didn’t have the minerals to give a pen and for var well where do you start with that.

Awful decision. Im a fully paid up member of the keepers union but it’s a foul all day long.
