It does and I agree they get too much protection generally speaking but outfield players can't use their hands and thats stopping him from using his hands. doesn't get any clearer of foul than that for me.To be fair, that sort of holding goes on at corners between outfield players all the time, I think goalkeepers are over protected too much.
Neville was advocating the keeper to "move" the Brentford player - presumably by hurling him out of the way - a la Schmeichel of the 90s. Wouldn't work in 2021. Keeper gets physical, Brentford player goes down feigning serious injury and ref pulls out a red card for the keeper. Game has move on since Neville played and players know all the tricks these days.I maybe from the old school of thinking but I agree with Neville.
