This current team, and the team of the last 5 years, are likely up with the best ever seen in English football. As much as the 67/68 team were brilliant in that era, they wouldn’t finish top half in todays league, sadly.

Agreed, but in comparison only with the relevant era's i.e City squad then against all other squads then... were we better than all the competition? Useless argument and point I know but good for a discussion in a forum?

I think you have to say it is worse because they now have VAR but continue to make the same “mistakes”. The incompetence/corruption is even less acceptable and even more obvious.

This team has been absolutely dominant, its won 4/5 titles, been to a European cup final and numerous semi finals, got 100 points in a 38 game season and been European footballs top scorers. The 2 teams are incomparable.
