It’ll take many years for the culture of football to change here. Imagine a team with players like Phil rather than players that can run forever like Gordon. Nothing wrong with the latter, however, having the right blend of technically gifted players and specialists helps.

Could you imagine a Rice, Henderson or Maguire in Spain, Brazil or Portugal?
