To be honest, when it happened in though Allen was diving. The replay showed him getting elbowed in the jaw by Xhaka. So fair fucks to Mason for spotting it, but as others have said should have followed with a red.Butcher and Hartson on the beeb saying it shouldn't have been a penalty
