Commentators went out of their way to find he got the slightest touch on it before connecting with Phil. Agreeing that if the defender got a touch first then it won't be a pen.

ref gave the decision and thought it was a penalty. Ref would have stuck by it. Appalling decision- used to that over the years but won’t cry corruption over it. Contentious decisions will go on forever.
