Schmeichel had half a glove on the ball a few weeks back and a goal was disallowed.

Butland had caught the ball in two hands and was knocked out of them by the collision with Maupay.

It was never going to be a goal.
Watch it again. Before the ball hits the Brighton player there's daylight between the ball and keeper's hands

You’re not allowed to dislodge the ball from a ’keeper when it’s either in two hands, or between one hand and the body or one hand and the floor.
The keeper is allowed to drop it though, which he did.

His fuck up, not Maupay's.

If it were us I'd be fuming at Eddie's shit handling not a striker not even touching him.

no, you wouldn't. You'd be furious at VAR for not ruling it out. If you collide with the keeper, he hasn't dropped it. He can only drop it with no contact, otherwise it's a foul. Simple as.

Yet our first v Brighton, a few weeks back, was REMARKABLY similar
