Premier League Games 14/15/16 October

Very dodgy ref. Sharp eyes to see a non-existent foul by Walker when he was the 4th official and big enough bollocks to intervene on it. Sharp eyes to see a real foul by Bruno but only gives a yellow for a deliberate elbow when match referee. And look at the encroachment by the Everton player..5 yards inside the box when Rooney hits the ball and right under Oliver's nose. His eyes mysteriously failed him at that moment.

Thought van Dijk looked quite slack for the goal. Was initially too deep and played Newcastle onside, gave the ball away with a poor poke, and then dawdled back up the pitch.

He's been shit ever since they reintroduced him back into the team. He's still sulking about not getting his move to Liverpool.

One of those players who always strikes me as playing within himself, as if he has plenty left in the tank and, thus, can just stroll through the game. That is acceptable when the results are positive, but in Southampton's current predicament, and indeed that of the Dutch national team, he needs to offer far more. I counted three times in the first half when he could have carried the ball forward (ala Otamendi) and broken the Newcastle line, but each time he abdicated responsibility and instead passed square to the midfielder who had dropped deep.
