Premier League Games | 15/16/17/18 August '25

City laid down a marker today and we need to respond against United. City looked better than I thought they'd be - Reinders looked class. Tougher tests than Wolves to come of course but that City side still has Rodri to come in (and Foden if he hits form again).

Wasn't impressed by Liverpool. However 1st match of the season is just about getting 3 points - might be some odd results before the 1st international break with plenty of banana skins.

A bit daunting that in our first 6 games we've got Rags, Dippers and Newcastle away (we have a have a horrendous record against them) and City at home. At the end of those games if we've remained unbeaten then morale will be up, but obviously the opposite applies as well.
lol!!

Cracking post! Arteta has worn you down! 6 draws and you'll be flying!

It's last year's 15th placed club who haven't won a league title in over a decade vs the cockney perennial bottle jobs who haven't won the premier league since Tony Blair was in power...and it's live!

Somewhere in a galaxy far, far away there is an alien football club better than the ‘World Champions’

I was as shocked as anyone about the terrible accident but surely there’s already been enough tributes and pauses for reflection from the clubs he was associated with.
First league games of the season, it was always going to be this way, and it should be, too. The premier league is paying its respects to him. Go and make a brew or something if it’s bothering you.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Chelsea will be the team to beat this season.

They looked really sharp in the US and are starting to win things too.

Well said but when it comes to anything or anyone associated with the scousers nothing surprises me
What have the tributes at other grounds got to do with Liverpool? It was notable that his wife and parents were at Wolves - his first PL club. I didn’t see the cameras on them at Anfield on Friday.

This is a football thing, not a Liverpool thing.

How is Eze going to Tottenham with no competition , He’s quality
