I was just thinking the same so looked at the panel of Premier Leaghe refs, there honestly isn’t a good one amongst them.

You know it’s bad when the future of referees is Michael fucking Oliver.

the refs are as good as they’ve always been, just never used to get such scrutiny before.

also the red card rules have been ridiculously softened over a 20 year period and i dont even know why. serious injuries happen from usually innocous falls/changes of direction

no one ever breaks their leg from a ‘leg breaker’
