I think we are seeing what happens when you work under Pep and think you can take his tactics and try to use them under a load of players who have no fight in them or care to listen enough to implement them properly, it's going to result in Arteta and the Arsenal board with a shit load of egg on their faces.

Arsenal seem to be destined to end up being what Everton were 5 years ago. Perennial 5/6th place finishes. Never in the CL, never winning anything.

It's actually pretty sad how quickly 20 years worth of very good work has been undermined.

As funny as the result is, Maupay's a cúnt.

As is Guendouzi, one of the most overrated players in the league.
That's a bit harsh on Maupay. Yes, he fouled the keeper. But I agree with Ferdinand. It was a nothing challenge, really. Just unfortunate that Leno landed awkwardly and (seemingly) twisted his knee. The reactions of the Arsenal players (Guendouzi in particular) was embarrassing.

so that's 19 games played since the restart in England, the record is:

Home wins: 4, Draws: 7, Away wins: 8.

Makes a mockery of the league and promotion/relegation when teams have lost home advantage, especially in the big 6 pointers down at the bottom of the Championship today.

Ironically started around the time they signed Arteta from Everton...

I understand the players being annoyed because they're going to be irrational having seen their best player and friend carried off and out for probably 9 months.

The fans have been hilarious though, I've seen people describe it as "intentionally crippling Leno"

It was a nothing challenge to the extent that is was completely needless.

You can't brush it off as "he didn't really hit him that hard", the man was jumping and he purposely knocked him off balance. The resultant landing and injury is why you don't do that to people, no matter the odds.

He knew exactly what he was doing, shithousery.

Players intentionally "leave one on" the opposition, or push them in the air when they jump for a ball 100x a game.

I guarantee if you watched the game back, you'd see every time Maupay jumped for a ball at a corner, goal kick or long ball, the defender marking him gave him a shove to put him off balance.

To give an idea how bad Arsenal are they have less than half of the points Liverpool have and they've played a game more.

Just in from work and missed Brighton game. Arsenal were really shit the other night, would've backed Brighton if the bookies were open.

Looking forward to watching Wolves/Hammers, sort of..

And it's shithousery.

Especially when you can't win the ball, like Maupay, so you do it solely to be a cúnt.
