Premier League Games 18/19/20/21 August '23

Paqueta looked good last 15 when he was pushed further up to hold onto the ball for West Ham and relieve some pressure. Everyone quick to judge players for other teams as not good enough but many would have watched kovacic last year for Chelsea and said he was rubbish but that’s so far from the truth- sometimes a team can drag a player down and he definitely has quality
The thing is though, they want £85m plus for him and for that money you expect that player to walk straight into the first team.
Who's place is he taking?

I haven't watched but I wanted to stop in to congratulate Chelsea on their massive win. I normally would have checked the score but since I've been assured that money guarantees success and Chelsea have outspent everybody by a mile it seemed pointless.
That only applies when they are talking about us.

Arsenal have CL football to worry about, they'll start dropping points way earlier this season. City's only competition is themselves and health issues. If they add two more attacking options they'll walk the league.

I hope you are right mate but in terms of ability us followed by Arsenal are ahead of the rest. The EPL spend a lot of money and end up with some right bang average teams.

Is it, though? Really? This isn't the Chelsea of Mourinho, or even Conte. They're bang average. A well organised, committed, so called "lesser" side could have joy against them.

I wouldn't say bang average. They did okay against Liverpool and dominated large parts of this game. Loads of new players and manager we'll see once it settles.
