It might be wise to gather more data points and collate them, rather than irrationally choose one singular metric to come to a conclusion.

That said, it's a bit of fruitless endeavour in football. People's opinions on referees aren't based on proper data, they're based on preconceived notions of unfairness. You can't reason people out of positions they didn't reason themselves into - they'll just question the neutrality of the data source and move on.
