We’re getting good results, and many players clearly have plenty of room for much better performances and stats (Reijnders, Doku, Bobb, Savio). Cherki and Aït-Nouri haven’t even really played yet, and they seem to have a great potential. A number of players are slowly coming back from injury – Stones, Marmoush, Rodri. And even at 70%, Rodri is still better than most.

Just to be clear – we can win the Premier League, we can have a great season even without winning it, but as of now Arsenal are the favorites. And its good for us as well. All the pressure on Arsenal.

You have kind of agreed with the poster. The fact remains that we have plenty of powder in reserve, like you intimated, whether Arsenal don’t. On top of that we are only 2 points behind them and we very nearly beat them at their own ground. You say we can win the Premier League, I think we will.
 
Personally I think that was a great result for us
liverpool have been very fortunate in the early part of this season and now the pendulum has swung
As other posters have said, VVD and Salah are now looking well beyond their best and they've been carrying that club for years and perhaps, like us with Mancini and Pelegrini, second season manager syndrome has also kicked in

As for the rags, they got really lucky. They showed decent energy for 65/70 minutes but faded badly

It was quite end to end and on another day that would have been a sky wankfest 5-3. There was a severe lack of quality for most of the game

The rags really won't be near relegation because there are four or five real candidates and it would be a surprise if they qualify for Europe as there are a number of so called lesser teams that are so much better

Theoretically they are a well established side whereas we are just developing.
New teams tend to be inconsistent, as there is no groove and familiar patterns. But, as I say, you never know. Our squad is much better than some have given it credit for, even on BM. We will get better and better, I have no doubt.

It's as good a reason as any with Marinakis in charge.
Pissed off the fans by ditching the old manager, sided with them against Ange, and will now piss them off with Dyche. They'd be better off with Fat Sam.
 
Just watching the pre match guff, and they mentioned that Hickey was injured while on international duty. It set me thinking (yes; I do think occasionally); are clubs compensated by the relevant national associations if a player gets injured while on international duty? I'm aware that players are insured by their clubs, by the way. But does that mean that national associations get away scot free?

I think they are compensated, I read somewhere that FIFA will be compensating Newcastle for the Wissa injury. I think they only cover the wages though.

It might depend on the injury though, I think Wissa's was more serious.
 
Sky ignoring all the other top half teams and referring only to the points gap between Liverpool and their Manchesheshteeer United. Fcking shameless how they blow smoke up the rags.

Fucking hell. It's like a pre season friendly. Another fucking stoppage for a head injury. They are definitely going to have to sort this out by getting the player off the pitch.
