It’s a factor, but it shouldn’t stop it being a red card if the attacker is clean through.Let me run this by you. The card is red if the foul denies a goal or obvious goal scoring opportunity. Given that both these fouls were close to the half way line is it really an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
Do you still give a red card if Raheem Sterling is the attacking player ;)
It should be a red card even if it was Sterling.
