I had hoped that Villa would win because now it’s likely that Spurs will still be in with a shout of a CL place when we play them (and play like men possessed as a result). Ah well.
They were in that position today and didn’t turn up until they were 4-0 down.I had hoped that Villa would win because now it’s likely that Spurs will still be in with a shout of a CL place when we play them (and play like men possessed as a result). Ah well.
Not if Villa beat the cultists next monday night; That will put Villa on 70 pts. Spurs, if they win their last three games, can only get to 69 pts.I had hoped that Villa would win because now it’s likely that Spurs will still be in with a shout of a CL place when we play them (and play like men possessed as a result). Help out villa as they did beating Arsenal?Spuds have Burnley at home and Sheff U away. Even for them, that has to be 6 points…
Villa should be fine as we’ll thump them, hopefully.
I know, but that’s not going to happen, unfortunately. Not if Villa beat the cultists next monday night; That will put Villa on 70 pts. Spurs, if they win their last three games, can only get to 69 pts.
Which means it’ll be a cardiac arrest inducing 4-5 thriller against us.#Spursy's CL hopes hanging by a thread now......

Remember last autumn, after the first 10 games of the season (W8 D2), how giddy their fans were getting? Talking about a title challenge, IIRC. If they fuck up against Burnley next weekend (yes, I know!), or if Villa beat the cultists at home next monday night, then it's done and dusted. And their recent form is shite; one win in the last 6 games. Only 3 teams in the bottom half of the table have picked fewer points over the same number of games.
As Sparky would say; obviously!Which means it’ll be a cardiac arrest inducing 4-5 thriller against us.
You think they'll get past Madrid?
True. But I'd be surprised if they did.you never know in that competition
