Premier League Games 2/3/4/5 January '23

Hardly a slim lifeline mate, 21 games still to play?

Absolutely, but those five points have still got to be reeled back in. Anybody who thinks Arsenal are simply going to collapse is living in dreamland. There was no sign of it whatsoever tonight. And Newcastle are up there with the best they will face. I firmly expected Brighton to get something off them. Not so. They will drop points like this here and there. Not last year I think, but the year before, we beat the dippers on the basis of the number of draws they had conceded, as against our wins. That's the way it will be, I believe, in the best-case scenario.

How the fuck did Everton get a point against us?

Easy..

Our defense sucked due to a momentary mental lapse and Stones hit the post, Rodri missed at the end and a couple of other times shots never got through.

Mostly just worried about us giving up 16 goals in 16 games.. our defense is leaking goals.. need to patch that up!

People go on about sterling- but for me - the back up this lad supplied his decision making and his potential - a ridiculous decision to allow him to go - and to Arsenal!!?
I agree especially with our lb issues. Jesus and Sterling i don’t miss. But I felt better when zinch played in defense.

Jesus is going to be a big miss for them.

He plays tonight they win that game.

Not going to get too giddy until we beat Chelsea Thursday or this means fuck all.

Stout defending by Newcastle but they also got the rub of the green. Another day and that header by Martinelli or shot by Nketiah goes in near the end.

Thankfully it might put a dent in the Arse's confidence.
Newcastle missed a sitter as well. Arsenal simply didn't create enough in the second half.
