Premier League Games 2/3/4 March '24

You know what Wilder will trot out, don't you?

"I was pleased with the spirit shown by the lads in the second half"

"I was disappointed with a couple of the goals in the first half"

"The Premier League is an unforgiving place"

"I'm confident that I have the backing of the board"

Of course, all title winners can afford to lose/draw a certain number of games throughout a season.

The problem is I feel like we’ve already used that up in the first half of the season, leaving us no room to drop anymore points in the second half which simply isn’t sustainable.
So have we, losing at wolves and villa, drawing 4 games out of 6, winning only 1, though we have won 10/12 since losing at villa.

last 7 PL games for Arse:
total on target shots: 51
total goals: 31
60%

City in same period also 7 games:
shots on target:51 (same as Arsenal)
goals: 14

27%

main difference they hit Burnley hard, we let them go home from Etihad with 3 goals only, or we make a star from Brentford keeper and score only 3 goals from 15 on target shots in the away game while they humiliated Sheffield, WHU, Palace keepers.

also so many set piece goals in these, mainly corners for Arse. while our corners often more danger of conceding one with a quick counter or long ball than us going up for a header and straight header into the net.

I wish we would go back to twatting teams like the Arses seem to be doing the last few games. We’re better than Arsenal, I don’t understand why we’re not scoring more goals.
