My take on this season is the lack of break and preparation between sessions has levelled the playing field a bit. Teams that press high and close down every week like ourselves and dipperpool need rest and reset. There just hasn’t been any break. Add to that the mind numbing international schedule and it sort of figures that the top teams will struggle for a while. I recon within a few months the natural order will resume as smaller squaded teams get injuries and the bigger teams get in a natural rhythm. It suits teams like spurs atm as their tactics are not high impact tactics. As soon as Kane gets injured - and he will - they’ll struggle to pick up points. As boring as it is watching city atm, I still recon we can challenge for the title. 80 odd points might well win it this season. Chelsea have the squad to do it but maybe not the experience or managerial know how. If pep is still a genius then he’ll sort it out. It’s not like the first season when he had somebody else’s inferior players. They’re his players and are mainly top quality (With the obvious odd glaring exceptions) We’ve still the best squad in the league and have a decent defence now. Just needs to click (and stop playing mahrez ffs)
