Premier League Games 21/22 December 2024

One long accurate ball out of the back from United towards Amad. Kerkez chases back and gets to it first and snuffs out the danger - nothing spectacular. Just a full back doing his job, getting back and putting it into touch to stop an attack. Against us, that would have been half of the team out of the play and unable to recover while Amad races into our penalty area.
It's amazing how the simple things a defender should do is asinine to us.

Laughed yesterday when Jack back heeled a ball going for villa goal kick to nobody and villa broke at pace

There have been several spells in this match where the Old Toilet atmosphere has been so flat you could genuinely hear what the players and coaches were saying.

Pretty absurd watching Bournemouth and thinking I wish we played more like them.
Funny you should say that. I was just thinking that a couple of seasons ago I couldn't watch other teams' games as they were so far below our standard. Now I'm watching games and enjoying games played at a quick tempo where the players are 100% committed.

Fulham vs Southampton is a strange pick for the early live game today. TWGC's clash with plucky Bournemouth was shirley the obvious game. Tens of millions up and down the country would prefer to watch Zirkzee rather than Iwobi.
Can't have the rags lose on national TV. They can spin it as Bournemouth being lucky If we aren't watching it.
