Ah, makes sense.

What a nonsense rule. You’d think a foul is a foul.

Somebody could essentially break somebody’s leg and it wouldn’t be a penalty because the ‘ball isn’t in play’.

The way the law phrases it: “If an offence occurs when the ball is not in play, this does not change how play is restarted. If the ball is out of play, play is restarted according to the previous decision.”

I think it's essentially just a get out of jail card for referees, otherwise they'd be giving penalties at nearly every corner - in my opinion, maybe they should give that a go because it would soon stop all the nonsense.

Chelsea well in the title battle, but I honestly don’t see it with them, wonder when it gets to the nitty gritty will they drop off,I just aren’t impressed with them, but they get the win so that’s all that matters I suppose..

WTF ? Chalobah kicked the Burnley player after the ball had gone. We had players retrospectively banned for 3 games for less
I’d rather see Broja given a three game ban for his fake pain and rolling around from that tiny kick that would barely have registered with me or you.

I bumped my shin into the coffee table harder than that this week and all I did was say ‘oops’ and then walked to the kitchen to make a brew.

I’m not sure I’d scream and roll around as much as Broja did for that little tap on his shin, if someone twatted me in the shins with a cricket bat as hard as they could. Footballers act like they’ve stood on a landmine with minimal contact. I’m bored of it.
