Premier League Games 22/23/24 October '22

I know cricket gets stick from a lot on here but quite often umpires are helped by people walking off if they’ve edged it or owning up if they’ve not caught it but it looks as though they have.

Not always but it’s the generally done thing.

Football is too tribal unfortunately and people are too angry.
Cricket is getting worse though. Especially with catches that look like they’ve been grounded on camera that realistically haven’t.

Plus Stuart Broad.

Be gutted if that was given against us. Where do you expect his arms to be and he’s a yard away. That shouldn’t be given imo. One not given that should have been and one given that shouldn’t have been

I've just come to accept that one as there are clear guidelines to it.

It does mean that a lot of accidental handballs are given as penalties but at least VAR can follow that one.

VAR stands for Video Assistant Referee (which is a person), so anyone arguing that the person making the decisions is separate from “VAR” does not understand how VAR works.

That Indian woman Sharma caused a shitstorm.

You’re right, Cricket is going the wrong way with it but it’s still somewhat there
