Premier League Games 23/24/25/26 April

Mad as it sounds, Pep could learn from how Iheanacho found his form.

Very talented, promising young back up striker who always seemed to be putting too much pressure on himself, always seemed to be rushing chances and snatching at shots. Cameras always picking up the undroppable number 1 striker on the bench and everyone talking about how soon the substitution would be until his confidence was in the gutter. Looked great at times, but wasn't getting the goals and the fans were on his back.

Rodgers by luck or a stroke of genius realised the key was to play both strikers together so they were no longer competing directly, and in the space of 15 games he's discovered his confidence and turned into the player everyone thought he could be.

Some goal that from kelechi. Delighted he's hitting this kind of form. Never doubted his ability. Maybe he can prevent Leicester from bottling it once again. Hope so.

I didn't think they were there at the same time or if they were it wasn't for very long.
Iheanacho effectively stopped getting minutes after Jesus arrived in mid 16/17, even after Jesus got injured.

I don't think Iheanacho was ever incapable. It was just with 3 strikers in a 1 striker team somebody had to make way, and it wasn't going to be Aguero nor the brand new striker signing. I think the club knew he had the talent, hence the buyback clause.
