Just had a look on a few stat sites and Burnley have had approx 10% more possession that Sheff Utd so far this season so that’s neither here nor there but I agree mate Burnley at least try to play a passing game.

Playing for either would put hairs on his chest though.

Not sure which you were looking at, but I had read ~18% more yesterday.

Either way, it is more. At this level, even 10% can make an difference. And I’ll wager the gap will widen as the season progresses (including tonight’s performance).

Another way to look at it (which is also partially how possession statistics are measured), Burnley complete significantly more passes per game than Sheffield (nearly twice as many; Sheffield are bottom of the table in that regard), also attempting significantly more each match.

Either way, I wish he had gone to Burnley rather than Sheffield.
