He barely nicked him and the fucker fell down like he was caught in a bear trap.

This is the kind of stuff the game needs to stop rewarding and we all know it no matter how much joy we receive from it when it helps us.
There have been far softer penalties awarded than that.

Where is the line where a player milks it too much for it to become a dive?

I really hope the “lesser” teams take a leaf out of Brentford’s book. Less of the passing sideways stuff against teams who have better players. This is how you get results against the teams with the bigger budgets etc.

Full effort, closing down together, direct fast and in your face. They have rattled Liverpool

Yep and now with five subs you can refresh the players to keep the pressing going till the 95th minute

But VAR judged that the ref was wrong and that it was on the line yeh?

The referee decided it was a foul

The VAR then decided where the foul happened

The first thing is subjective and so would need to be clear and obvious to be overturned. The second isn't, the foul took place where it took place. It's a decision of fact. The same as deciding offside or whether the ball is out of play, other types of decision where Clear and Obvious doesn't apply.

I don't disagree on the player's reaction - but the reaction of the player fouled has nothing to do with whether it was a foul or not. Only the defender's actions matter in deciding that.
Our club’s greatest goal was scored after a certain stud of a striker was clearly fouled and he powered through it. That’s what real, honest humans do.

Put another way, do you think that gets whistled as a foul if the attacker doesn’t make a meal of it? I don’t.
