I think he comes from the late-era Wenger school of tactics, throw his favourite 11 onto the pitch and hope they create enough moments of individual brillance to offset the inevitable defensive errors.

And also religiously set your offside trap right against the 18-yard line so the opposition knows exactly how to time their runs.
