Yes I believe so as it's not a genuine attempt to play the ball. I may be wrong though. Is handling the ball on the line still a red?

Caballero must have a better ratio than either.Apparently, according to Twitter, Gomes has saved 30% of the penalties he's faced. Only Seaman has a better ratio with 32%. Surely, Paul Cooper must have had a decent ratio in his career as well?
Yep if it's clearly deliberate, as is dragging someone down from behind with no attempt to win the ball.Is handling the ball on the line still a red?
Yep. The important point is "a genuine attempt to play the ball". Handball on the line or dragging someone back from behind clearly wouldn't be classed as such.Yep if it's clearly deliberate, as is dragging someone down from behind with no attempt to win the ball.
Thanks. No red for a professional foul in the box so long as the player makes a genuine attempt to play the ball as the penalty gives the attacking team a clear goal scoring penalty.
Yeah agreed.Thanks.
But surely he should have got a yellow for a bad tackle? I mean, the new rule doesn't stipulate no card at all if the penalty is given?
