Thats so insanely soft.

You can see the ref thinks that too as he saw it live, but VAR convinced him otherwise.

Can almost imagine the discussion.

"You've brought me to the monitor for that? He's hardly touched him and he's gone down like he's been shot."
"Errr yeah, but he did touch him though."
"Yeah but..."
"Well you've got to give it now, we've brought you over here - or it's going to look bad, isn't it?"
"*Sigh* yeah, I guess..."

That's an unhappy possibility I must confess buy we can still drop 4 points
:-)
Our goal difference being +18 better than Villa’s, should see us finish in the top five if we drop 4 more points (eg. Wolves 1pt, Soton 3pts, Bmouth 3pts, Fulham 1pt).

They’d have to win every game and outGD us by 4.75 gpg.

Chelsea have got 2 ‘six-pointers’ so they could get 12 from them…….
Actually, in a seriousness:

Villa win all finish on 69, so likely out of it, but.

Forest win 4 and lose to Chelsea finish on 72

Newcastle win 4 and lose to Chelsea finish on 72

Chelsea win all 4 finish on 72.
Make a few Bob here if this comes in
Shame money to hard to come by than waste in bookies

People pick me up on one incident when Newcastle have had many go there way we never have that we have the opposite every game! I hope one game someone will call me out and say look we had a homer of a referee but won't hold my breath!

Newcastle have a tough run in , they were bound to get the best of decisions today to ensure they stayed in the hunt for a top 5 finish.

We win our last 4 we should finish 3rd so we shouldn't concern ourselves with the others now even though some will take points of each other of course.
