Bitter rag on 5live now.
So with two games left before we officially hit the halfway mark, looking at the table this season hasn't really been as crazy and odd as everybody is suggesting really has it? In my eyes there's 4 teams that have surprised, Leicester and Watford in a good way, Chelsea and Swansea in a negative way, If those 4 sides were swapped Chelsea for Leicester and Swansea for Watford, the league looks a lot like many would of predicted at the start of the season.
That is a pretty big "if" though and the Leicester bit is a pretty big thing in my eyes.
Usually a team may blag it until November max, Leicester seem to be legit.
Yeah, my point wasn't very well worded there. I'm not belittling Leicester or Watfords achievements, or playing down Chelsea's demise, they're massive things but constantly hearing from every media outlet how this season has been unpredictable and crazy is starting to do my head in. There's 4 anomalies in an otherwise fairly predictable league at the halfway stage.
That post match analysis on BT was turd polishing on an unprecedented scale. Rooney MOTM?! Gerrard describing his performance as "sensational", Ferdinand as the "inspiration"?!?! Just when you think you see it all...
Apparently the rags could take away lots of "positives" from that performance, not sure what they are?..A bit like the Mike Bassett film where he says they can play much worse than that. That post match analysis on BT was turd polishing on an unprecedented scale.
