Ignoring the fact Spurs and Arsenal have to play each other, so actually a minimum of 6ptsBbc lead with "u***** 5 points off 4th with 2 games left "

You're spot on mate.
I bet we won't see any headlines like this on the sky sports app this weekend.

Watching fat Luke ?Why is fat Sam always at the swamp?
I wouldn't be sad if Soton were relegated.1 from 5 now for the final relegation spot. I don't think Brentford or Saints are completely safe given the form of the 3 behind them.
Brentford P35, -11, 40.
Saints P35, -17, 40.
Burnley P34, -15, 34.
Leeds P34, -34, 34.
-----‐---------------------------------
Everton P33, -20, 32.
Winning games in hand makes it 3 points between the 5 of them.
Remaining fixtures:
Brentford v Saints
Burnley v Villa
Arsenal v Leeds
Leicester v Everton
Leeds v Chelsea
Watford v Everton
Spurs v Burnley
Leeds v Brighton
Everton v Brentford
Saints v Liverpool
Everton v Palace
Villa v Burnley
Arsenal v Everton
Brentford v Leeds
Burnley v Newcastle
Leicester v Saints
With Brentford playing 3 relegation rivals, 3 defeats leaves them wide open. Likewise, Saints play Brentford and then Liverpool and Leicester away, so 3 defeats there leaves them wide open.
Excluded Villa despite the same number of points due to 2 games in hand.
I think Leeds will need something from either Arsenal or Chelsea. Huge pressure.
40 points has relegated 3 teams since 1997 and Brentford have to play Southampton so if their is a winner in that game its probably enough for that team to stay up.1 from 5 now for the final relegation spot. I don't think Brentford or Saints are completely safe given the form of the 3 behind them.

Likely they are both safe, but there is the potential, especially for Brentford as each of their games are "6 pointers" that they could be drawn into it by the final day. Interesting nonetheless.40 points has relegated 3 teams since 1997 and Brentford have to play Southampton so if their is a winner in that game its probably enough for that team to stay up.
For me its either Burnley or Leeds leaning towards Burnley to play in the championship next year.
