Anybody see that game? From the description, it does actually sound as though Armstrong was interfering with play when Saints scored their second. For me “interfering with play” should not mean that you have to have touched the ball. If Armstrong came racing in on the near post, and “flicked out a leg behind him” (as the BBC has it) as the ball came over, there isn't the goalkeeper who wouldn't be wrong footed. Of course, I don't know how close the ball came to his foot. It sounds to me like harsh justice for Saints. But justice nevertheless.
