Pair of them wouldn't get in our team, not so good management when you spend 550m in one season and fail to beat Fulham at home and precariously leave the team floundering for a CL place.Same with Gallagher after they accepted the Everton bid
He's overrated, end of, fuck all to do with Foden.Off the ball he's very good at pressing, organising the team, winning the ball back and on the ball he speeds up play with one touch passes, often provides the link passes which set them going on a counter attack, doesn't lose the ball cheaply, always shows for it when teammates are under pressure.
He's not very flashy, doesn't carry the ball or score spectacular goals but he does the basics really well and is extremely intelligent.
Southgate, Lampard, Tuchel and Potter have all absolutely loved him and said he's the guy who understands how they want the team to play and puts in in action. Pep's been full of praise for him as well. You might not like the first 2 as managers, but the latter 3 know what they're talking about.
He also got nearly 30 goals + assists last season which is very helpful.
The only reason he gets hate on here is because people have decided he's getting picked over Foden for England, even though Southgate made it very clear he sees Foden as a front 3 player and Mount as a midfielder so they don't overlap at all.
A goal at the Spuds pleaseSomething for the weekend sir
I wasn't impressed with any of them, to be honest. Yes, Raheem tred hard once he came on. But his ball control (and consequently, retention) were poor at times. He's a confidence player, and he looks low on that quality at the moment. To be expected, I guess, when you're playing in a side that's underperforming and you're getting criticised by the media and (maybe more so) fans of your own club. I hope he he gets his "mojo" back; I'm not one of those who'd stick him in front of a firing squad for having the cheek to actually leave us (!). That was his decision, and only he can know how he feels about that now.Yes, he was direct and tried to make things happen. It wasn't exactly a high bar with the rest of the Chelsea forwards though.
Who do you think was better?
Dead cat bounceFingers crossed old gravellytwats can do us a favour today. I doubt it though.
