Exactly. He makes life much more difficult for his defence, but then makes a few flashy saves and people gloss over the fact that a lot of goals he lets in are his fault. It's no coincidence that every defence he's been in has been an utter shambles

He does that de Gea thing, he makes the most out of certain kinds of saves. Good for the cameras, and the media, but isn't good at a lot of other things.
Exactly, a keeper can make a routine save into a worldly , by flinging the legs backwards, arching the back, and waving the arms with gusto. Doesn't fool all though
